Release notes

Release notes explain a beta release's changes, limits and useful tests. Small internal build iterations do not each need a new announcement.

First beta — 16 October 2026

Version: 0.1 (5).

Availability: the Mac beta is prepared for approved testers, with a signed, notarized and stapled installer. The iPhone beta has been approved by Apple for TestFlight. Invitations and installation details are provided privately; approval does not mean an invitation has already been sent. Follow the instructions supplied for your platform. Supported devices and the safe upgrade path should be confirmed before installation.

Access: request it through the person who invited you. Adam must approve each tester before a private installer or TestFlight invitation is sent. There are no public download or invitation links here.

What you can try

• Keep recipes together, review imported wording and edit your own recipes.
• Paste a recipe's text and review its title, ingredients and method before saving.
• Import supported recipe files, scan a readable image, or paste a public link from a supported publisher.
• Plan meals by day and servings. Review the resulting shopping list, correct amounts, omit items, check purchases and choose List or By aisle.
• Cook step by step, review suggested times, start named timers and resume a saved cooking session.

These local workflows have development evidence. Final installation and behavior on your own devices are part of beta feedback.

Known limits

• Family sharing is experimental. Two-account recipe/photo/plan/list updates will be validated during beta with disposable data.
• Background or closed-app audible timer alerts are not verified. Use a separate reliable timer for actual cooking.
• Reminders is an optional iPhone-only, one-way add; real delivery still needs testing. Checks and edits do not synchronize back from Reminders.
• Spoken Siri, signed-in subscriber capture and complete accessibility coverage need device feedback.
• Keep original exports. Paprika 4 cookbook parity and complete backup/restore acceptance are not established.
• The supported upgrade path and device list still need confirmation. Do not replace an older installation or remove its data without the instructions supplied with your invitation.

Please focus on

Try one complete path: add/import → review/save → plan a chosen date and servings → correct Shopping → cook with two timers → reopen and resume. Then try it at your preferred text size or Mac window size. Choose the Mac checklist or iPhone checklist for exact steps and an optional coordinated sharing test.

Reporting

Use Mac website feedback for the standalone Mac beta. For an iPhone TestFlight installation, use TestFlight feedback or the private contact supplied with your approved invitation. Include your platform, app version, a few actions and the expected and actual result. The website form accepts text only. See the Mac report outline or iPhone report outline. Reports are reviewed for spam and duplicates before actionable problems are passed to the development team.

Later beta releases

Each subsequent release will add a short dated entry with what changed since the previous release, any known limits or upgrade action, two or three targeted tests, and the same private reporting route. No later release is announced yet.
