Install Risoni on Mac
Mac 0.1 (6) for Apple silicon has been signed, notarized and stapled. It is available through the existing private prerelease; use only the package and instructions supplied by the beta coordinator. Installation, upgrade and launch on your Mac remain to be checked. Read the release notes and confirm the upgrade instructions before replacing an existing installation.
Request access
Request Mac access through the person who invited you. Adam must approve each tester before a private download is sent. Do not send passwords, verification codes or recovery keys. For a shared-kitchen test, the coordinator may need to confirm which Apple Account you use for iCloud.
Install in Applications
The released Mac package is a signed, notarized and stapled DMG. Once you receive your approved private package and instructions:
- Download the Mac package using your approved private link.
- Save open edits and quit Risoni or any older Hearth test copy.
- Open the DMG and drag Risoni to Applications.
- Eject the disk image, then open Risoni from Applications. Use that copy for the beta.
If Finder asks to replace an existing copy, pause until the release notes confirm the supported upgrade path. Keep your existing data and original recipe exports.
If macOS says the app is damaged, unidentified or cannot be verified, stop and report the exact message to the beta coordinator. Do not bypass security checks or run Terminal commands to open it.
First launch
- Begin in Local kitchen with a sample or disposable recipe.
- Choose Recipes, Plan and Shopping in the sidebar.
- Read the beta limits before relying on timers or shared kitchens.
You can use Local kitchen without family sharing. Photo and file access is requested when you choose an item. Your beta library should not be your only copy of your recipes.
Update carefully
Read the release notes before each update. Quit Risoni before replacing its application bundle. Do not remove library folders or use an app-cleaning utility.
If recipes look missing after an update, check the selected kitchen and report the problem before changing or restoring data. Follow the confirmed upgrade instructions rather than deleting and reinstalling.
