RisoniTHE USER GUIDE

Recipes. Plan. Shop. Cook.

Shared kitchens

Shared kitchens are experimental. Begin with a disposable kitchen and made-up recipes, and only after the beta coordinator confirms sharing is enabled and both people have approved access.

What belongs to a shared kitchen

A shared kitchen is intended to include recipes and photos, its meal plan and shopping list. Shopping corrections, omissions and purchased checks belong to that kitchen too.

Cooking progress stays on each device: your step, cooking servings, ingredient checks and timers do not follow another cook. Creating or joining a shared kitchen does not move recipes, photos, plans or shopping from Local kitchen.

Start a small test on Mac

  1. Sign in to iCloud normally. Never send anyone your password or verification code.
  2. Open Shared kitchens in Risoni's Settings.
  3. Choose Connect to iCloud or Check iCloud again, then read the status.
  4. Create and select an empty test kitchen. Add one made-up recipe with a non-personal image.
  5. As owner, choose Invite or manage family… and use Apple's private sharing controls.
  6. The invited person accepts the private link and selects the joined kitchen in Risoni. Confirm both people see the test recipe before making more changes.

The owner manages invitations. Accepting a share does not make someone the owner, and approval to test the app does not itself join a shared kitchen.

Check together

  1. Edit the test recipe on one device and look for the change on the other. Repeat in the opposite direction.
  2. Add a photo, plan a day and serving count, and correct or check a shopping item. Compare both devices.
  3. Quit and reopen both apps. Check the selected kitchen and saved changes.
  4. For an agreed offline test, open the kitchen online first, make a small edit offline, then reconnect and compare.

If competing recipe versions appear, review both before choosing. Do not keep saving over a warning. Report changes that disappear or land in the wrong kitchen. Keep real information out of the test until it succeeds.

Connection and invitation problems

Read the error, check your connection and choose Check iCloud again to retry. Reopen the original invitation if needed. If Risoni reports an account change or asks for a restart, follow that message rather than editing the old kitchen view.

Launching offline may require an online account check before opening an iCloud kitchen. Local kitchen is separate. Do not delete app data or sign out of iCloud to troubleshoot; report the status first.
